The project is coordinated by the University of Novi Sad. The Office for Dual Education and National Qualifications Framework (DualNoK) leads Work Package 5 (WP5) – Strategic Leadership, Institutionalisation and Integration of Project Results into Education Policies. This work package focuses on ensuring the long-term sustainability of project outcomes, their institutional implementation, and their systematic integration into educational processes and policies at both national and European levels.
Project objectives
Generative Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming the way we learn, teach, and acquire knowledge. AI-TransformED aims to support educational institutions in the responsible, safe, and effective adoption of Generative AI by strengthening teachers’ competences, enhancing institutional capacities, and improving educational practices.
During the first phase of the project, comprehensive research will be conducted through surveys, interviews with educational leaders, focus groups with teachers, and workshops involving students. The research will assess the readiness of educational systems for the implementation of Generative AI, identify key challenges, and explore opportunities for integrating AI into teaching and learning.
Based on the research findings, tailored action plans will be developed for each partner institution, reflecting its specific needs and implementation context. Particular emphasis will be placed on teachers’ professional development through innovative training programmes designed to provide practical knowledge and skills for the effective use of Generative AI in education. Teachers who successfully complete the training programmes will receive digital certificates aligned with European qualification frameworks.
The project will also develop the Competence Framework for GenAI Pedagogy (C4GAP), educational programmes, digital learning resources, and examples of good practice that will be made available to the wider European education community. All project outputs will be brought together within the AI-TransformED Learning HUB, which will serve as a central platform for knowledge sharing and support for the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in education.
Project impact
The project’s long-term value lies in its contribution to strengthening education systems through the development of innovative resources, the enhancement of teachers’ competences, and the establishment of stronger collaboration among educational institutions, policymakers, and other key stakeholders.
The knowledge and experience gained throughout the project will provide the foundation for evidence-based recommendations aimed at improving education policies at both national and European levels, supporting the systematic, sustainable, and widespread integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence into education.
